Welcome to Steve Murray Productions! I’m Steve Murray, a seasoned video production professional with over 30 years of experience in the industry. Based in beautiful Port Moody, BC, I have dedicated my career to capturing and crafting compelling visual stories.

 

I graduated with Honours from the BCIT Broadcast Communications Program with a Diploma of Technology in 1992. My journey in video production and television broadcasting has taken me through various roles and locations, including TV stations in Kelowna, Prince George, Kamloops, and Vancouver, where I worked from 1992 to 2019.

 

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working as a Camera Operator and Director of Photography on multiple TV programs for international documentary companies in the UK, New Zealand, Canada/US, History Channel, Comedy Network, and HGTV. These experiences have equipped me with a diverse skill set and a deep understanding of the industry.

 

In 2019, I made a decision to leave my full-time job of 19 years at CTV News Vancouver and start my own freelance video production company, Steve Murray Productions. Since then, I have had the pleasure of collaborating with a wide variety of corporate clients and television stations, including Global TV, BNN, CNN, 60 Minutes Australia, ITV UK, KTLA, CPAC, TSN, and Sportsnet.

 

At Steve Murray Productions, I specialize in a wide array of services, including videography, video editing, photography, drone operation, gimbal operation, and video lighting. I am proficient in industry-standard tools like Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro, ensuring that every project I undertake meets the highest standards of quality and creativity.

 

My passion lies in storytelling. I believe in the power of visual media to inform, inspire, and connect people. Whether it’s capturing the dynamic energy of a live sports event or crafting a polished corporate video, my goal is always to deliver content that resonates and engages audiences.
